RAE provides secure, performant data storage and processing environments for a diverse range of research needs.
To provide a professionally managed, secure, and collaborative environment for research teams to manage sensitive data effectively and efficiently. To offer access to the RAE platform, enabling UCSF students, faculty, staff, and sponsored non-UCSF collaborators to securely manipulate and save their data within a protected environment.

Remote desktop capability
Provision of remote desktop capability with applications for viewing, manipulating, and saving data entirely within the protected environment, eliminating the need to store files on individual computers.
Accessibility
Availability to all UCSF students, faculty, staff, and sponsored non-UCSF collaborators, with login using UCSF credentials and Duo multi-factor authentication for enhanced security.
