Overview

Coming Soon Early 2025

Current CLARITY analysts with access to UCSF’s electronic medical records must soon enroll in the Federated Research Data Steward Program (FReDS) to extract clinical data for scientific research and support researchers within their own departments.

Offerings

What is FReDS?

Academic Research Services extends access to data for scientific research beyond ARS’ centralized Clinical Data Research Consultation through the Federated Research Data Steward Program (FReDS). The FReDS program guides analysts in extracting, delivering, and sharing UCSF data. This program provides training, support, and oversight to ensure each data request is compliant with UCSF policies and regulatory standards.
